    Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is defined as a specific form of chronic, progressive fibrosing interstitial pneumonia of unknown cause, primarily affecting older adults, over 50 years of age. Diagnostic criteria includes a distinctive pattern of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) on high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) or lung biopsy, in the absence of other known causes of interstitial lung disease such as environmental exposures, medications, or systemic diseases. A detailed differential diagnosis is required with other interstitial lung diseases for an accurate identification.

    3He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in June 1998. In September 2006, he received his specialty from Erciyes University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery. He worked as a pediatric surgery specialist in Bingöl Children’s Hospital, GATA Ankara Hospital (military service), Kahramanmaraş Children’s Hospital and various private hospitals. While working at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Department of Pediatric Surgery, he became an Associate Professor in February 2021. He has many studies in domestic and foreign literature and has two brand registered medical products. He is currently retired and runs a private practice.
