Subscription-Based Articles

For articles published under our subscription model, authors typically transfer the copyright of their work to Nobel. This transfer allows us to manage the publication, distribution, and sales of the article efficiently while ensuring the protection of the author’s work.

Open Access Articles

For articles published as open access, authors retain more rights over their work. In cases where the CC BY-NC-ND (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives) end-user license is selected, authors license the exclusive rights of their articles to Nobel. This license allows the article to be freely accessible to the public while maintaining the author’s rights to prevent commercial use and the creation of derivative works without permission.

Books

The copyright arrangements for books vary depending on the agreement made with the author. We offer two main types of rights transfer:

1. Unlimited Transfer:
   • Authors can choose to transfer the copyright of their book to Nobel without any restrictions through the attached agreement. This gives us complete control over the publication, distribution, and sales of the book, ensuring broad dissemination and effective management of the work.
2. Limited Transfer:
   • Authors can opt for a rights transfer that is limited to a specific duration or a certain number of sales. This type of arrangement allows authors to regain full rights to their work after the agreed period or after reaching the specified sales threshold.
