Copyright and Licensing Information

At Nobel, we take a flexible approach to copyright and licensing arrangements with our authors, tailored to the specific type of publication. Below, we provide details on how we handle rights for books.

Books

The copyright arrangements for books vary depending on the agreement made with the author. We offer two main types of rights transfer:

  1. Unlimited Transfer:
    • Authors can choose to transfer the copyright of their book to Nobel without any restrictions through the attached agreement. This gives us complete control over the publication, distribution, and sales of the book, ensuring broad dissemination and effective management of the work.
  2. Limited Transfer:
    • Authors can opt for a rights transfer that is limited to a specific duration or a certain number of sales. This type of arrangement allows authors to regain full rights to their work after the agreed period or after reaching the specified sales threshold.

Licensing and Author Rights

Our licensing agreements are designed to protect the interests of both the authors and our publishing house. By clearly defining the terms of use, distribution, and commercialization, we ensure that the author’s rights are respected while enabling us to bring high-quality academic and medical publications to a global audience.

We understand the importance of maintaining a balance between author rights and the need for effective dissemination of scholarly work. As such, we provide transparent and fair agreements that align with the goals of our authors and the needs of the academic community.
