3Asist. Prof. Dr. Banuçiçek Yücesan was born in Ankara in 1968. She graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1991 with first place. She started her career as a medical doctor at Ankara Training and Research Hospital in 1991. During her duty, she worked in the Emergency Service, Organ Transplantation and Blood Bank. Between 2004 and 2019, she served in various positions as PhD. MD. at the Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Public Health, Consumer Safety and Parasitology Reference Laboratories. She completed his doctorate in Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology in 2002, and her second doctorate in Veterinary Parasitology in 2021. She started her academic life as a Asistant Prof. Dr. at Çankırı Karatekin University in 2019. She currently continues as the Head of the Department of Control of Zoonotic Diseases. She has given many lectures in the field of Parasitology and Health Sciences. She has advised and graduated many Turkish and Foreign graduate students in the field of Parasitology and Health Sciences. She worked as an executive and researcher in Scientific Research and TÜBİTAK projects within the university. She has published many articles in the serological, molecular and genome fields of parasitology (Ticks, T. gondii, Leishmania, Echinococcus and Babesia etc.). She attended many national and international congresses as a speaker and presented papers. She works as a publication editor in the Eurasian Journal of Health Sciences, published within the university. She has written chapters in national and international books and her published articles have received numerous citations.
