The insulin hormone is a hormone produced by the pancreas that regulates the level of glucose in the blood. ""Insulin resistance"" is observed in many women with polycystic ovary syndrome. In insulin resistance; body tissues resist the action of insulin and as a result, the body is forced to produce more insulin. Very high levels of insulin hormone in the body; It also affects the ovaries, causing hormonal imbalance; excess insulin production also increases androgen production, thus forming a complete vicious cycle. Women with polycystic ovary syndrome tend to gain weight and the reason for difficult weight loss is this disorder observed in insulin metabolism.
