3Ayşegül Mülayim is a Professor in the Biology Department’s Hydrobiology Division at Istanbul University. She earned her BSc in the Biology Department at Ege University, İzmir, and pursued her Ph.D. at Istanbul University’s Institute of Sciences Programme of Hydrobiology. In 2010, she earned her doctorate. She focuses on the following research areas: Crustacea, Zoobenthos, Benthic Ecology, Marine Biodiversity, Marine Ecology, Metal Accumulation, and Microplastics in the Marine Environment. The Taxonomy and Ecology of Amphipoda and Peracarida are her primary research interests.
