3Prof. Dr. Kavaklı completed his medical education at Atatürk University, Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He pursued his doctorate in Medical Anatomy at İnönü University. Following his medical education, he gained extensive experience working as a physician in various units within the public sector.
Dr. Kavaklı began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in 2000, a position he held until 2005 when he was promoted to Associate Professor. He continued in this role until 2011, at which point he attained the rank of Professor. Throughout his academic career, he has taken on several administrative roles, including serving as the Institute’s Deputy Director and Deputy Chief Physician. Since 2020, he has been serving as the Deputy Dean at Fırat University, Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Kavaklı has supervised numerous master’s and doctoral students, contributing significantly to the academic and professional development of future experts in the field. He has also been actively involved in the academic community as an editor and referee for various journals. His scholarly work includes numerous articles in the field of anatomy and presentations at both national and international conferences.
In addition to his academic and clinical contributions, Dr. Kavaklı is the founder and president of the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application Center in Elazığ. He has spearheaded numerous studies in this field, emphasizing the integration of traditional and complementary medicine practices within modern healthcare.
Prof. Dr. Kavaklı’s extensive research, administrative leadership, and commitment to education underscore his distinguished career in medical anatomy and his ongoing influence in the fields of traditional and complementary medicine.

3Dr. Gulnihal Deniz completed her undergraduate studies in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, earning master’s and doctoral degrees in Medical Anatomy. With eight years of experience in the private sector, she transitioned to a specialist role as a physiotherapist within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Fırat University, where she dedicated ten years to clinical practice and research.
Since 2021, Dr. Deniz has been an Assistant Professor Doctor at Erzurum Technical University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Her academic contributions include numerous publications and numerous national and international conferences. Additionally, she has edited many books and authored chapters. Dr. Deniz’s research interests focus on radiological anatomy, gait analysis, spatiotemporal parameters, and brain imaging. She has particularly delved into anatomical variations associated with various diseases, employing advanced imaging techniques to elucidate pathophysiological mechanisms. Her academic pursuits aim to bridge the gap between anatomical sciences and clinical applications, enhancing understanding of disease processes and informing therapeutic interventions in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
