A severe problem for public health is the prevalence of violence in the healthcare whichnnhas become an epidemic in every region of the world and continues to rise with each pass-ning year. Violence in healthcare affects the well-being of healthcare workers and reducesnnthe quality of healthcare services. This chapter examines various studies on violence innhealth and explores the prevalence, forms, risk factors and root causes of violence. Wennsuggest a comprehensive strategy to address violence in healthcare by implementing in-nterventions at various levels – individual, organizational, and socioeconomic. Our aimnnis to eradicate violence in healthcare through a combination of primary, secondary, andnntertiary prevention methods. By prioritizing risk reduction and safety measures, the im-nplementation of policies will not only safeguard healthcare professionals but also improvennthe standard of patient care.
