Publication Ethics

At Nobel, we uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all aspects of our publishing process. Our commitment to ethical publishing practices ensures the integrity, quality, and credibility of the academic and medical research we disseminate. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines and expect our authors, reviewers, and editors to do the same.

Ethical Standards for Authors

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:
    • Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in the rejection of the manuscript.
  2. Data Integrity:
    • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their data. Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation is strictly prohibited.
  3. Authorship and Acknowledgments:
    • Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All contributors should be acknowledged appropriately.
  4. Conflicts of Interest:
    • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
  5. Ethical Approval for Research:
    • Research involving human participants or animals must have been conducted in accordance with relevant ethical standards and approved by appropriate institutional review boards or ethics committees.

Ethical Standards for Reviewers

  1. Confidentiality:
    • Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone outside the review process.
  2. Objectivity:
    • Reviews should be conducted objectively, and reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and unbiased feedback. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
  3. Acknowledgment of Sources:
    • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript and other published work should be reported.
  4. Conflicts of Interest:
    • Reviewers should recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Ethical Standards for Editors

  1. Fair Play:
    • Editors evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
  2. Confidentiality:
    • Editors must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.
  3. Publication Decisions:
    • Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s importance, originality, and clarity, and the study’s validity and its relevance to the journal’s scope.
  4. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:
    • Editors must not use unpublished information in their own research without the express written consent of the author. Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed.

Handling of Ethical Violations

  • Investigation and Response:
    • If ethical violations are suspected, Nobel will investigate the matter thoroughly. This includes issues related to plagiarism, data fabrication, and undisclosed conflicts of interest.
  • Corrective Actions:
    • Depending on the severity of the violation, corrective actions may include retraction of the published work, notification to relevant institutions, and other appropriate measures.
  • Refund Policy:
    • If a manuscript is found to violate our ethical standards after publication fees have been paid, we reserve the right to reject the manuscript and withhold publication without refund.

By adhering to these ethical principles, we aim to ensure the credibility and integrity of the research published by Nobel. For more information or to report potential ethical issues, please contact us at editorialoffice@nobelpub.com
